My name is Mause Ramalho. I am a Licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist in the state of Texas. I graduated in 2016 from Texas Health and Science University, Austin, TX. I also received a M.D. degree in my native Brazil ( 1977), where I worked as a General and Oncological Surgeon for ten years. After this period I decided to seek specialization in Aesthetic and Reconstructive Plastic Surgery and I had the honor of studying under the direction of Professor Ivo Pitanguy, a world-renowed Brazilian Plastic Surgeon. Simultaneously I graduated in Acupuncture ( Brazil, 2002) to support my surgical patients quick and painless recovery, with exceptional results.
In Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, I served at National Cancer Institute as a Plastic Surgeon until retirement, and developed a teaming private practice in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and Cosmetology.
After more than 30 years working as a Surgeon I decided to retire from my surgical practice and moved to Austin to be close to my only daughter and grandson, and to further my knowledge of Acupuncture. I have had the opportunity to study with distinguished doctors and professors of acupuncture from China, cradle of this science.
Today I am able to provide clients with effective treatments for a variety of issues that may challenge their health and well-being. Also I provide Anti-aging and Beauty treatments that help one feel good and empowered.
